Extra Details:: CENP-E, Centrosome-associated protein E, is a kinesin-like minus-end directed microtubule motor protein that accumulates in the G2 phase of the cell cycle. Unlike other centrosome- associated proteins, it is not present during interphase and first appears at the centromere region of chromosomes during prometa-phase. CENP-E is proposed to be one of the motors responsible for mammalian chromosome movement and/or spindle elongation. CENP-E interacts with CENP-F and BUBR1 kinase. CENP-E associates with kinetochores during congression, relocates to the spindle midzone at anaphase, and is quantitatively discarded at the end of the cell division. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:500-1:2000 ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
