Extra Details:
APC2, also known as Anaphase promoting complex subunit 2, APC2, Cyclosome subunit 2, and ANAPC2, is a component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase of the cell cycle. The APC/cyclosome protein complex promotes metaphase-anaphase transition by ubiquitinating its specific substrates such as mitotic cyclins and anaphase inhibitors, which are subsequently degraded by the 26S proteasome. Biochemical studies have shown that the vertebrate APC contains at least eleven subunits. The composition of APC is highly conserved in organisms from yeast to humans. APC2 is a cullin family member that interacts through the cullin domain with ANAPC11 and UBCH10. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000-1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
