- Integrin a2b (ITGA2b), also known as CD41 and GPIIb, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed by megakaryocytes and platelets. It is cleaved into two disulfide- linked chains (114kD and 22kD) during transit through the Golgi. Integrin a2b associates with Integrin b3 to form complexes that interact with Fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, Fibronectin, and Vitronectin. Integrin a2b is required for platelet aggregation and defects lead to disorders of coagulation. Within the extracellular domain, human Integrin a2b shares 80% and 78%aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Integrin a2b, respectively. This clone is specific for Integrin a2b/CD41 by direct ELISA. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Absorption: 488nm Emission: 565-605nm Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
