Extra Details:: The AMPA receptor is a non-NMDA-type ionotropic transmembrane receptor for glutamate that mediates fast synaptic transmission in the CNS. AMPARs are composed of four types of subunits, designated as GluR1, GluR2, GluR3 and GluR4, which combine to form tetramers (3, 4). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: 1ug/ml was sufficient for detection of mGluR1/5 glutamate receptor in 20ug of rat brain membrane lysate and assayed by Western Blot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 0.1-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
