- Extra Details:
- Recombinant protein corresponding to Ile25~Asn261 with an N-Terminal His-tag from human expressed in E. coli Swiss/Uniprot Accession: P06870 AA Sequence: MGHHHHHHSGSEF-IVGGWE CEQHSQPWQA ALYHFSTFQC GGILVHRQWV LTAAHCISDN YQLWLGRHNL FDDENTAQFV HVSESFPHPG FNMSLLENHT RQADEDYSHD LMLLRLTEPA DTITDAVKVV ELPTEEPEVG STCLASGWGS IEPENFSFPD DLQCVDLKIL PNDECKKAHV QKVTDFMLCV GHLEGGKDTC VGDSGGPLMC DGVLQGVTSW GYVPCGTPNK PSVAVRVLSY VKWIEDTIAE N Predicted Isoelectric Point: 4.9 Predicted Molecular Weight: 27.8kD Accurate Molecular Mass: 31kD as determined by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Note: The possible reasons that the actual band size differs from the predicted are as follows: 1. Splice variants: Alternative splicing may create different sized proteins from the same gene 2. Relative charge: The composition of amino acids may affect the charge of the protein. 3. Post-translational modification: Phosphorylation, glycosylation, methylation etc. 4. Post-translation cleavage: Many proteins are synthesized as pro-proteins and then cleaved to give the active form. 5. Polymerization of the target protein: Dimerization, multimerization etc. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store lyophilized powder at -70°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Note: Thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation by incubating the protein at 37°C for 48h, with no obvious degradation or precipitation observed. Protein loss is <5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions.
