Extra Details:: Transmembrane protein 88 (TMEM88) is a two-transmembrane-type protein whose C-terminal tail has been shown to bind the PDZ domain of Dishevelled (Dvl), one of the key components in Wnt signaling pathways. TMEM88 attentuated the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling induced by Wnt-1 ligand in a dose-dependent manner and knockdown of TMEM88 by RNAi increased Wnt activity, suggesting that TMEM88 plays a role in regulating Wnt signaling in a context-dependent manner. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Brain Tissue Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
