Extra Details:: SCRN2 is a member of the secernin family of proteins which includes the homologous SCRN1, a protein that was first identified as being involved in the regulation of exocytosis from peritoneal mast cells. Little is known of SCRN2, but studies have shown that SCRN1 may possess epitopes that function as tumor-associated antigens in gastric cancers and increased SCRN1 expression in patients with colorectal cancer correlated with poor prognosis, suggesting that SCRN2 may also be involved in protein secretion or the regulation of cell growth. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: 293 Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
