Autophagy, the process of bulk degradation of cellular proteins through an autophagosomic-lysosomal pathway is important for normal growth control and may be defective in tumor cells. It is involved in the preservation of cellular nutrients under starvation conditions as well as the normal turnover of cytosolic components. This process is negatively regulated by TOR (Target of rapamycin) through phosphorylation of autophagy protein APG1. ATG9B plays a role in autophagy and it's highly expressed in placenta and pituitary gland. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
