Extra Details:: TMEM184A, a multi-pass transmembrane protein, belongs to the UPF0206 family. While the exact function of TMEM184A remains unclear, it is known to be expressed at high levels in the developing testis. TMEM184A may mediate sex-specific signaling events during Sertoli cell differentiation. The restricted expression of this gene in Sertoli cells suggests a role for the encoded protein in the development and/or continued function of that cell type. Ectopic expression of TMEM184A in female genital ridges resulted in failure of gonocytes to enter meiosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat Brain Tissue Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
