- Allergin-1, also known as Mast Cell Antigen (MCA32) and c17orf60, is a 70kD member of the Ig superfamily. It is expressed on mast cells, basophils, neutrophils, and macrophages, and is reported to negatively regulate allergic mediator release from mast cells. In particular, Allergin-1 interacts with FcepsilonRI. Upon IgE-mediated FcepsilonRI aggregation and activation, Allergin-1 recruits Tyr phosphatases to FcepsilonRI tetrameric complexes, dampening IgE receptor downstream signaling. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells in human blood-derived monocytes. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
