- Extra Details:
- Stratifin(SFN), also known as 14-3-3 protein sigma, is strongly induced by gamma irradiation and other DNA-damaging agents. The induction of 14-3-3-sigma is mediated by a p53 -responsive element located 1.8 kb upstream of its transcription start site. Leffers et al. (1993)obtained peptide sequence and subsequently cloned a T-cell cDNA of the 14-3-3 family of conserved proteins. The protein, called stratifin, was shown to be diffusely distributed in the cytoplasm and was present in cultured epithelial cells. It was most abundant in tissues enriched in stratified keratinizing epithelium. UniProt Number: P31947 Gene ID: SFN Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) and Immunocytochemistry. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
