- Extra Details:
- Sarcoma (Scr) is a proto-oncogenic tyrosine kinase originally discovered by J. Michael Bishop and Harold E. Varmus. belongs to a family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases called Src family kinases. The human SRC protooncogene was assigned to chromosome 20. Its gene is mapped to 20q12-q13. The discovery of Src family proteins has been instrumental to the modern understanding of cancer as a disease where normally healthy cellular signalling has gone awry. This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. UniProt Number: P12931 Gene ID: SRC Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
