- Extra Details:
- Cateningamma, also known as junction plakoglobin (JUP) or plakoglobin (PKGB). Plakoglobin is a major cytoplasmic protein which is the only known constituent common to submembranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions. Cateninbeta and cateningamma (plakoglobin), vertebrate homologs of Drosophila armadillo, function in cell adhesion and the Wnt signaling pathway. Cateningamma may have distinct roles in Wnt signaling and cancer via differential effects on downstream target genes. UniProt Number: P14923 Gene ID: JUP Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
