Extra Details:: Glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) is an intermediate filament protein of 52Kda. GFAP gene is mapped to human 17q21. GFAP is a useful marker of astroglia in the brain. Mutations in GFAP, encoding glial fibrillary acidic protein, are associated with Alexander disease. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Handling: Store at -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, store at 4˚C for one month. Can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20˚C for long term. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
