- Extra Details:
- Connexins are membrane-spanning proteins that assemble to form gap junction channels that facilitate the transfer of ions and small molecules between cells (Bergoffen et al., 1993). For a general discussion of connexin proteins, also known as Gap junction beta-1 protein. Gap junction beta-1 protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GJB1 gene.In melanocytic cells GJB1 gene expression may be regulated by MITF. UniProt Number: P08034 Gene ID: GJB1 Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: paraffin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
