- Produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response. Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 4-8ug/ml In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100ul/well), will detect at least 1000pg/ml of recombinant human IL-2 when used with 0.05-0.10ug/ml of I7663-27B as the detection antibody. Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hIL-2 is 2-4ng/lane, under reducing or non-reducing conditions. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
