- Extra Details:
- Interleukin-12 is produced by activated B lymphocytes and macrophages. The properties of IL-12 include the stimulation of growth of activated T lymphocytes and the development of TH1 CD4 positive cells and CD8 positive cytotoxic T cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Neutralization, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): 2-4ug/ml using 100ul/well will detect at least 1000pg/ml of recombinant murine IL-12 when used with biotinylated affinity purified anti-murine IL-12 (208641) as the detection antibody at a concentration of ~1-2ug/ml. Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mouse IL-12 is 1-2ng/lane, under reducing conditions and 0.25-0.5ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions. Neutralization: 0.16-0.24ug/ml yields one-half maximal inhibition of the biological activity of mouse Interleukin 12 (2ng/ml). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
