- This monoclonal antibody is specific to progesterone receptor and shows m inimal cross-reaction with other members of the family. Progesterone receptor is expres sed as two major isoforms, PR-A (81kD) and PR-B (116kD). Expression of PgR has been suggested t o reflect a intact estrogen regulatory machinery and therefore, predict b etter clinical response to endocrine therapy than ER alone. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 0.5-1ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml for 2h @ RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: T47-D Cells or Breast Cancers Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
