- MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Podocalyxin is a member of the CD34 transmembrane sialomucin family. It is over-expressed on the podocyte foot projections and plays essential roles in kidne y development and homeostasis, blood filtration and urine formation. It is also expressed on va scular endothelia, hematopoietic progenitors and a subset of neurons. Overexpression of podocalyxin may be linked to more aggressive tumor behavior. Podocalyxin antibody can identify podocytes in the urine (podocyturi a) that may indicate glomerular disease, pre-eclampsia, and other kidney pathology. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): Staining of formalin fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris, 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0 for 45 minutes at 95ºC followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa, Raji, Jurkat cells, Angiosarcoma, Breast, Prostate, Liver, Pancreatic, Kidney Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
