- Extra Details:
- C1q associates with the proenzymes C1r and C1s to yield C1, the first component of the serum complement system. The collagen-like regions of C1q interact with the Ca2+-dependent C1r2C1s2 proenzyme complex, and efficient activation of C1 takes place on interaction of the globular heads of C1q with the Fc regions of IgG or IgM antibody present in immune complexes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunodiffusion and ODD. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 100ul antiserum/10ul fresh plasma Immunodiffusion: 0.1ul antiserum/cme2 in gel/20ul fresh plasma ODD: 10ul antiserum/20ul fresh plasma Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
