- Human CD31 is an adhesion molecule expressed on platelets, endothelial cells, leukocytes and their bone marrow precursors. CD31 plays a role in homophilic adhesion and heterophilic transendothelial migration. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Blocks homophilic interaction and heterophilic transendothelial migration. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cultured human Jurkat cells were incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-CD31 antibody at 10ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.62 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
