Extra Details:
Coproporphyrinogen-III oxidase, mitochondrial precursor, also known as CPOX, is a 454 amino acid mitochondrial enzyme that is localized to the inner membrane space of erythrocytes. It participates in the sixth step of heme biosynthesis by catalyzing the formation of protoporphyrinogen IX from coproporphyrinogen III. Mutations in human CPOX gene predict the clinical outcome of the disease, with either hepatic hereditary coproporphyria or hematological manifestations of erythropoietic harderoporphyria. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human CPOX, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
