- TRPM2 is a member of the melastatin-related TRPM subfamily belonging to the transient receptor potential or TRP channel superfamily. TRPM2 can form a Ca2+-permeable cationic channel activated by intracellular ADP-ribose. The physiological functions of TRPM2 remain largely unknown except that activation of TRPM2 channel can initiate yet unidentified signalling cascades that lead to membrane disruption and eventually cell death. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
