Extra Details:: CA15-3 is most commonly utilized as a tumor marker for metastatic breast cancer. CA15-3 cannot be used for screening of breast cancer since elevated levels are also observed in benign breast diseases, liver cirrhosis and acute and chronic hepatitis. However, CA15-3 has been shown to correlate with disease progression and regression and can be optimized to monitor response to treatments. It has also been suggested that CA15-3 is more useful than CEA in monitoring the clinical course of patients with metastatic breast cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1: 10,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Pair: Capture: 136551 Detection: 136549 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
