Extra Details:
Soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) is a heterodimeric hemoprotein and nitric oxide (NO) sensor composed of two subunits, α1 and β1. The approximately 70kD sGC β1 subunit is encoded by GUCY1B3 in humans, ubiquitously expressed, and localized to the cytosol. The sGC histidine residue at position 105 is ligated to a ferrous heme that selectively binds NO to activate the C-terminal guanylate cyclase activity of the sGC heterodimer, catalyzing the synthesis of cGMP. Knockdown of Gucy1B3 or expression of a heme-deficient sGC β1 subunit inhibits NO-induced reductions in blood pressure and platelet activation in mice, indicating a heme-dependent role for the sGC β1 subunit in blood pressure regulation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
