Extra Details:: DUSP8 encodes a dual specificity MAP kinase phosphatase which has been shown to hydrolyze p-nitrophenylphosphate and inactivate mitogen-activated protein kinases in vitro. The mouse homologue, M3/6, has been demonstrated to be uniquely specific for JNK and p38 kinases. DUSP8 has been mapped to 11p15, a chromosomal region that has been implicated in the development of a number of tumor types, including lung which is a tissue known to express this gene, and loss of heterozygosity has been found in one of eight informative lung tumors studied. The presence of a CG-rich trinucleotide repeat in the coding region has been suggested to be a possible target for mutation which might result in loss of function or altered properties. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
