- TBX18 is a 607aa, 65kD protein that is a member of the T-box family of developmentally expressed transcription factors. It is developmentally expressed in the anterior portion of the head, somites and limb buds. It is expressed on pluripotent progenitors in the developing epicardium where it is required for formation of the cardiac AV node, and can also contribute to fibroblast and smooth muscle formation. Within the region used as an immunogen, human TBX18 shares 93% aa identity with mouse and rat TBX18. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
