Extra Details:
RPE (ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase) belongs to the ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase family. In enzymology, a ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase is the enzyme that converts D-ribulose 5-phosphate into D-xylulose 5-phosphate in Calvin's reductive pentose phosphate cycle. Hence, this enzyme has one substrate, D-ribulose 5-phosphate, and one product, D-xylulose 5-phosphate. This enzyme participates in 3 metabolic pathways: pentose phosphate pathway, pentose and glucuronate interconversions, and carbon fixation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
