- MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. ATP-independent protease that degrades mitochondrial transit peptides after their cleavage. Also degrades other unstructured peptides. Specific for peptides in the range of 10 to 65 residues. Able to degrade amyloid beta A4 (APP) protein when it accumulates in mitochondrion, suggesting a link with Alzheimer disease. Shows a preference for cleavage after small polar residues and before basic residues, but without any positional preference. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and FLISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
