Extra Details:: Origin recognition complex subunit 1 (ORC1L) is a member of the highly conserved six subunits of the Origin Recognition Complex (ORC) which is essential for the initiation of DNA replication in eukaryotic cells. ORC complex binds specifically to origins of replication and serves as a platform for further assembly of additional transcription initiation factors such as Cdc6 and Mcm proteins. ORC1L is the largest encoded protein of the complex. Levels of this protein vary during the cell cycle, which has been shown to be controlled by Ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis after initiation of DNA replication. This protein is found to be selectively phosphorylated during mitosis. It is also reported to interact with MYST histone acetyltransferase 2 (MyST2/HBO1), a protein involved in control of transcription silencing. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
