- NUDT4 (Nudix (nucleoside diphosphate linked moiety X)-type motif 4) is a member of the DIPP subfamily of Nudix proteins which hydrolyze specific diphosphoinositol polyphosphates and diadenosine polyphosphates. NUDT4 cleaves a beta-phosphate from the diphosphate groups in PP-InsP5 (diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate), PP-InsP4 and [PP]2-InsP4 (bisdiphosphoinositol tetrakisphosphate), suggesting that it may play a role in signal transduction. It is also able to catalyze the hydrolysis of dinucleoside oligophosphate Ap6A, but not Ap5A. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
