Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a 36aa residue peptide with sequence and 3-D structural homology with PYY and pancreatic polypeptide (PP). NPY serves as a neurotransmitter and is exclusively localized in neurons in the central and peripheral nervous system. NPY is associated with the regulation of heart rate and food intake in several mammalian species. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
