- Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a 36aa residue peptide with sequence and 3-D structural homology with PYY and pancreatic polypeptide (PP). NPY serves as a neurotransmitter and is exclusively localized in neurons in the central and peripheral nervous system. NPY is associated with the regulation of heart rate and food intake in several mammalian species. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
