- Neurogenin-3 belongs to a family of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors involved in the determination of neural precursor cells in the neuroectoderm. Neurogenin-3 also required for the specification of a common precursor of the 4 pancreatic endocrine cell types. Defects in NEUROG3 are the cause of congenital malabsorptive diarrhea 4 (DIAR4). DIAR4 is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by generalized malabsorption and a paucity of enteroendocrine cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
