- The LY6 antigens are a family of glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored cell surface glycoproteins. LY-6H belongs to the LY6 family and it encodes a 140aa polypeptide that is 23-33% identical to other known family members. LY-6H is higly expressed in the brain (cerebral cortex, amygdala, hippocampus and subthalamic nucleus) and in the acute leukemic cell line MOLt-3. It is also expressed at lower levels in testis, small intestine and colon. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
