- Defects in IDH3B are the cause of retinitis pigmentosa type 46 (RP46) [MIM:612572]. RP is a retinal dystrophy belonging to the group of pigmentary retinopathies. RP is characterized by retinal pigment deposits visible on fundus examination and primary loss of rod photoreceptor cells followed by secondary loss of cone photoreceptors. Patients typically have night vision blindness and loss of midperipheral visual field. As their condition progresses, they lose their far peripheral visual field and eventually central vision as well. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Sandwich ELISA: The detection limit is ~10ng/ml as a capture antibody Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Amino Acid Sequence: YSAEYAVFETGARHPFAQAVGRNIANPTAMLLSASNMLRHLNLEYHSSMIADAVKKVIKVGKVRTRDMGGYSTTTDFIKSVIGHLQTKG Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
