- MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000. Drebrin is enriched at junctional plaques, defining a specific microfilament anchorage system in polar epithelial cells. Positive staining is found in many tissues, including diverse epithelia and carcinoma (e.g. in epidermis basal cells are positive, whereas overlying cells are negative; also positive: regenerating epithelium during wound healing; basal cell carcinoma; skin melanoma), specific types of endothelia and smooth muscle; especially prominent in the mesangial cells of renal glomeruli and in the Sertoli cells of testis. Also positive: epithelia of hair follicles and eccrine sweat glands. Hepatocytes and cross-striated muscle consistently stain negative. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
