Extra Details:
The C-terminal-binding protein (CtBP) was originally identified as a cellular protein that interacts with a C-terminal motif of adenovirus E1A oncoproteins. CtBP is highly conserved in higher eukaryotes. Vertebrates contain two highly homologous CtBP proteins (CtBP1 and CtBP2) while invertebrates contain a single CtBP. CtBP family proteins share significant sequence homology with D-2-hydroxy acid dehydrogenases. Also, CtBP proteins associate with various proteins and functions as a co-repressor of transcription. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.  For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.  Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
