Extra Details:
Cyclin E2, a 404aa protein, is a member of highly conserved E-type G1-cyclin family. Cyclins bind to and activate CDK kinases to form serine/threonine kinase holoenzyme complexes that regulate eukaryotic cell cycle. Cyclin E2 is localized in the nucleus and shares significant homology with Cyclin E and its expression revolves throughout the cell cycle, with peak expression during G1-S phase. Cyclin E2 binds to and acts as a regulatory subunit of CDK2. It controls the G1-S phase transition during cell cycle and regulates the activity of CIP/KIP family of CDK inhibitors. Its expression is abnormally up-regulated in certain tumors suggesting a possible therapeutic intervention. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
