- Bcl-B (also called Bcl2-L-10) is a novel anti-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family. Bcl-B is closest in aa sequence homology to Boo protein. It contains four Bcl-2 homologs. Bcl-B mRNA is widely expressed in adult human tissues. The Bcl-B protein binds to Bcl-2, Bcl-X(L), and Bax but not Bak. Bcl-B suppresses apoptosis induced by Bax, but not by Bak. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
