Extra Details:
ATF-2 (activating transcription factor-2, CRE-BP1) is a transcription factor that binds the cAMP response element (CRE) and AP-1 response element and is abundantly expressed in the brain. Various forms of cellular stress, including genotoxic agents, inflammatory cytokines, and UV irradiation, stimulate the transcriptional activity of ATF-2. SAPK and p38 MAPK can activate, in response to cellular stress, ATF-2 by phosphorylating this protein at Thr69 and Thr71. Mutations of these sites result in the loss of stress-induced transcription by ATF-2. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
