- AGO4 also known as EIF2C4 is involved in regulation of gene silencing via small RNA's such as siRNA and miRNA. This protein contains both a PAZ and a PIWI domain characteristic of Argonaute family of proteins. Functionally Ago4 is the catalytic component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). As part of this multi-protein complex, Ago4 interacts with miRNAs to help mediate translational repression of targeted messages. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
