Extra Details:
Epitope tagging is a widely accepted technique that involves the fusion of an epitope labeled peptide to a certain protein as a marker for gene expression. This technique allows gene expression to be easily monitored during western blotting, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence by using an antibody that recognizes such an epitope. Amino acid sequences that are widely used for epitope tagging are as follows; yPyDVPDyA (HA-Tag), EQKLISEEDL (Myc-Tag) and yTDIEMNRLGK (VSV-G-Tag), which correspond to the partial peptide of Influenza hemagglutinin protein, human c-myc gene product, and Vesicular stomatitis virus glycoprotein, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:5000 Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
