Extra Details:: Centrin is a key regulator of centriole duplication. This protein is localized to the centrosome of interphase cells. During mitosis, centrin redistributes to the spindle poles, consistent with dynamic changes of the centrosome during the cell cycle. Current research suggests centrin exerts spatial and temporal control over centriole duplication through its role as a component of centriole precursor structures and through periodic cell-cycle specific changes in its abundance. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml detected Centrin on 10ug of HeLa cell lysate. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
