Extra Details:
RBPMS (RNA binding protein with multiple splicing), also known as HERMES, contains one RRM (RNA recognition motif) domain and belongs to the RRM family of RNA-binding proteins. RBPMS exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and is thought to bind RNA, possibly playing a role in RNA-related events, such as transcription and translation. RNA-binding proteins that are specific to retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) have been previously identified as excellent markers for RGCs (Kwong et al., 2010). Recent findings show that antibodies against RBPMS are robust reagents that exclusively identify RGCs in multiple mammalian species (Rodriguez et al. 2014) Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:2000 Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunocytochemistry: 1:200-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
