Extra Details:: The group 23 allergen, Der p 23, from Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, is a peritrophin-like protein that contains a chitin-binding domain in the sequence but does not bind chitinis. It is a major allergen amongst house dust mite (HDM)-sensitized individuals and is present in the outer membrane of mite feces. Der p 23 has high IgE binding frequency and high allergenic activity. It can induce persistent respiratory symptoms. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
