- Der p 23 was identified as a new major Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus allergen in 2013. Der p 23 is located in the peritrophic matrix on the surface of mite fecal pellets. Der p 23 is a peritrophin-like protein that contains a chitin-binding domain in the sequence but does not bind chitin. It binds IgE from 70-86% of HDM allergic patients. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
