Extra Details:: Haptoglobin can be used for the early diagnosis of bovine respiratory disease in cattle. Haptoglobin is a serum protein that consists of two alpha and two beta chains connected to disulfide bridges. The alpha and beta chains are characterized by molecular weights of 10kD and 40kD approximately, and acts as a hemoglobin scavenger and has been associated with protease inhibitory activity. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
