Extra Details:: SNARE-associated protein Snapin, SNAP Associated Protein or Biogenesis Of Lysosome-Related Organelles Complex 1 Subunit 7 (BLOC-1 Subunit 7) is encoded by the gene SNAPIN. Snapin is a member of the BLOC-1 complex, which is involved in the protein-sorting, membrane biogenesis, and vesicular trafficking. Snapin is required for vesicle docking and fusion and regulates neurotransmitter release. Snapin is expressed in many tissues including heart, brain, testis, kidney and liver. Diseases associated with this gene include Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome and Tricuspid Valve Stenosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
