Extra Details:
Glypicans are GPI-anchored heparan sulfate proteoglycans that include a large globular cysteine-rich domain with 14 invariant cysteine residues, a stalk-like region containing the heparan sulfate attachment sites, and a C-terminal GPI attachment site. Glypicans are thought to function as low-affinity binding proteins that retain signaling molecules (cytokines, growth factors, proteases) at the cell surface. Glypicans are widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells using HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Immunocytochemistry: 3-25ug/ml in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml with lysates of mouse placenta tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse adrenal gland tissue, rat placenta tissue, and rat lung tissue Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
